CANADIAN OLD-FASHIONED
When in Canada... maple happens. Maple syrup replaces sugar in this homegrown twist on the Old-Fashioned, adding a little more Canada to every glass. We tested it thoroughly with Far & Wide — and can confirm the two were made for each other.
Add to a lowball or double old-fashioned glass and stir to combine:
1 ½ oz Laneway Far & Wide Whisky
1 ½ tsp maple syrup
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Add ice, stir to chill and dilute the cocktail.
Cut a 2 cm x 6 cm strip of orange peel, removing as much of the pith as possible. Twist the peel over the cocktail (peel side out) to “spritz” the oils onto the cocktail, then add the peel to the glass as a garnish.
